Shara Smile, LLC Newsletter October 2025
Greetings this October,
As the crisp air and golden leaves signal the arrival of harvest season, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on something close to many hearts: ADHD. October is ADHD Awareness Month, a time to learn, reflect, and support those navigating life with this unique condition. ADHD can affect attention, organization, and self-regulation, beginning in childhood and often continuing into adulthood. If you or someone you care about experiences restlessness, distractibility, or impulsivity, remember: ADHD is part of life, but it does not define your worth or potential.
ADHD presents differently for everyone. Some may struggle to focus or organize, while others bring boundless energy and ideas. Small adjustments like establishing routines, breaking tasks into manageable steps, and offering patience and encouragement can make a meaningful difference. Evidence-based treatments, such as therapy, coaching, behavioral strategies, and medication when needed, have proven effective in helping individuals thrive (SAMHSA, 2019). And let’s not forget the gifts ADHD often brings: creativity, curiosity, and innovative problem-solving.
This October, as we enjoy the warmth of harvest celebrations, let’s also celebrate ADHD Awareness Month with compassion and empathy—for ourselves and for others. A check-in, a kind word, or simply listening can help someone feel seen and supported. Small gestures matter, and together we can nurture a world where differences are strengths and everyone has space to shine.
Be gentle with yourself and others this season. Notice the small victories, honor your strengths, and remember: every step counts. You are visible, you are valued, and you are never alone on this journey.

With warmth and encouragement,
CHECK IT OUT!
